A New Club On The Plateau, Vivacious FC Engages SSI Media As 3 Invited Clubs Welcome Them In A Battle


A new club, Vivacious football club are at the brink of joining numerous grassroots clubsides in Plateau State.The club, owned by a Sports journalist, Akila Matawal, although already registered and affiliated with the Plateau State Football Association, will be announcing themselves to the football scene by trying some notable clubs for size on the field of play.According to the CEO of the club, Akila Matawal: “Although we are new on the football scene on the Plateau, but we can’t know if we are ready for the challenges on the Plateau if we don’t try ourselves out with some successful and well respected grassroots clubs on the Plateau hence, we invited a club like Jazzy Stars FC, who on the Plateau are seen as a model club having won the Plateau Super league, qualified for State Challenge Cup and the most travelled team with players scattered in Nigeria and outside the country. We also invited Amonda FC, a team put together by the Amo tribe in Bassa local government area of Plateau State, gathering all their best legs after their annual tribal football competition, and not forgetting my sweet and wonderful childhood club, Corinthians FC of Bukuru. All these teams will play themselves in a mini round robin Tournament for a trophy and other prizes.”The mini tournament, tagged Vivacious Soccer Splash, will start on the 7th of March and will be between Vivacious FC and Jazzy Stars FC by 2pm, while the second match will take place by 4pm.All matches will be played at the Bukuru Mini Stadium.SSI Media will do the publicity for this tournament that promises to be explosive.Awards will be given to individuals on the Plateau that have contributed to football development on the Plateau at the end of this tournament to unveil the Vivacious FC.
