Football fans that thronged the Abuja Area 3 football playground Thursday were not only entertained to the brim with some soccer artistry, but were also kept at the edge of their seats as the Under-15 semi final of the Abuja August Vacation Football Championship took center stage.

In the first semi final, N-YOUTH Sports Academy dragged IB Sports Dreams to a 1-1 regulation time draw before forcing the game to penalties.

N-YOUTH Sports Academy progressed to the final, after beating IB Sports Dreams 4-1 on penalties with N-YOUTH Sports Academy goalkeeper, Dominic Chinedu winning the Man of the Match Award after saving some penalties during the match and during the lottery of penalties.

In the second and last semi final match of the day, Jazzy Stars Football Academy showed all and sundry that Plateau State still remains the mecca of football in Nigeria as they bulldozed all Abuja teams to get to the final.

In the end to end encounter, Pride Football Academy showed the resilience in them as they forced a free scoring Jazzy Stars FA to a 0-0 regulation time draw and hence, to penalties lottery in a match that saw Jazzy Stars FA’s Shedrach Rwang emerging as the best player of the day to cart home the Man of the match Award.

D’ Galaxies, as Jazzy Stars are fondly called, defeated Pride FA 4-1 on penalties to move to the final of the competition.

According to the organizers, the finals of both the Under-13 and Under-15 categories, between Horvel Prime vs Climax FA and N-YOUTH Sports vs Jazzy Stars FA respectively, will be played on Sunday at the Area 3 synthetic football pitch, Abuja.
