The saying in Africa climes that “Experience is the best teacher” came in to play full throttle in this year’s AMAPRO Football Championship as selected players from both the elite division of Nigeria club football, the NPFL, and some of the selected best from the second tier of Nigeria club football, who happens to be the defending champions, the NNL All Stars, will battle themselves out for the crown this year.

In the first semi final match played yesterday, NPFL All Stars kept intact their scoring spree as they dismantled Laycon FA, beating them 3-1 to make progression to the final.

Samuel Oyedeji, Wasiu Jimoh and Idis Abubakar got the goals for the NPFL All Stars team, while Gotie Taofeeq got the consolatory goal for Laycon FA.

In the second semi final match played, defending champions, NNL All Stars are hell-bent in making sure they retained the trophy won in the last edition after waking up from their slumber when they lost 1-0 to Jazzy Stars FC in their first match to defeat Kwara Football Academy 1-0 in the semi final, who with same margin ousted the Galaxies from Jos at the quarter final.

Moses Ajiboye got the only goal for the NNL All Stars to oust KFA from the tournament and set up a mouth watering final against the NPFL All Stars on Sunday at the Main Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium.
