Anaguta Youths Movement Super Cup: Other Tribes In The State Challenged As Mini Football Chairman Plateau State Chapter Ready To Start League Towards World Cup In Ukraine

Chairman of the first edition of the Anaguta Youth Movement 7-Aside Football competition, Engineer Joshua David has called on other tribes on the Plateau to emulate the Anagutas, the way they unite their youths through sports, football to be precise.


Joshua David, a Berom by tribe, told www.ssimedia.com.ng “I am going to start such in my own district which is Garshish District in Barkin Ladi local Government of Plateau State; and I believe it will go a long way in curbing the restlessness in that place and will also keep the youths of my area busy.”

Engineer Joshua, who gave out some cash prize at the finals, promised to still keep on supporting the AYM 7-Aside Inter Family Super Cup.

Special Guest of Honour at the colourful event, Chairman, Plateau State Mini Football Association, Rawlings Semlek, who’s also a FIFA licensed Intermediary, after giving out balls to the semi finalists and challenged with the talents on display, said it’s high time Mini Football league started on the Plateau.

According to Rawlings Semlek “If only one tribe on the Plateau can boast of these talents on ground, then I have no choice than to pick good talents from the whole State via a competitive league that will make it to the National team as the Spartan Eagles prepare for the Mini Football World Cup in Ukraine in September this year.”

Moses Bulus Dawan, President, Anaguta Youths Movement on his own part said:
“This competition is put together to unite the youths in our various communities and to also showcase the great talents we have in the Anaguta tribe of Plateau State.”
He concluded by applauding individuals from other tribes who are on ground to support his kinsmen.

A visibly happy Joseph Dala Garba, who is the organizing Chairman of the competition, commended his co-workers, the teams and the Anagutas for their support and understanding, said he’s a fulfilled man as about 70% reasons of organizing the competition are already met.

At the final proper, Anabeh Nabor Clan football team emerge champions after beating Anagomoh Anagohom clan football team 3-2 on penalties after the regulation time score ended goaless.

Anagalang Targwong clan football team won the bronze medals after overcoming Anachur Nabor Clan football team 3-2 on penalties at the third place match.
