Club Friendly: 2017 Champions Take Tornadoes To The Plateau With A Defeat

Plateau United Football Club showed the glimpse of what should be expected from them under the tutelage of new gaffer, Fidelis Ilechukwu, with a convincing 2-1 win over Niger Tornadoes football club of Minna.

Emmanuel Uchegu gave the “Peace Boys” the lead with a sublime left footed finish from outside the box.
Morgan Igochukwu then scored the second goal for Plateau United with a rebound after his initial penalty was saved.

Niger Tornadoes was awarded a penalty but Plateau united reliable goalkeeper, Henry Anozie saved the penalty for United.

Nsule Martins then scored the only goal for Tornadoes at the stroke of Halftime .

Both teams were evenly matched in the first 20 minutes of the second half but the game opened up with both teams missing plethora of chances

Overall it was a great game from Plateau united,, their build up from the back was superb in the and they really pressed Tornadoes so well, though they struggled defensively in the first half.
