Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, who believes that one of the fastest way to develop our football and take it to that expected height we all crave for is to invest and build the grassroots, most especially the geese(Coaches) that lay the golden eggs(Players).

In a chat with www.ssimedia.com.ng, Kamara as Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu is also called by other admirers said: “I don’t see the reason why I won’t give back to where I’m coming from. And all these growth, development and top notch football we all crave for can only be achieved if all of us channel our energy in contributing our own little quota to the growth by not only organizing grassroots competitions, fishing out hidden talents, but providing facilities and also empowering the geese(Coaches) that lay the golden eggs(Players).”

Coach Ilechukwu continues: “Had it been I have the financial muscle, I would have loved to sponsor all the coaches that partook in this latest grassroots competition of mine on the Plateau. I saw alot of young and willing coaches that want to excel and with some little push, they will be very good Coaches, which will in turn be seen in the players they train day in day out.”

He concludes: “The Coaches of Jazzy Stars, Coach Isreal and Coach of Austin Amutu, Coach Babangida, should be commended for scaling through all these tough hurdles to get to the final of this competition, overpowering some very good teams; and I just feel the little I can do for now before the final comes up,which I know will be big, is to cease this opportunity and technically and tactically empower these fantastic coaches by sponsoring them to this program.”

It would be recalled that Austin Amutu FA beat SB United 1-0 at the first semi final to make it to the final of the Fidelis Ilechukwu Football Competition, while Jazzy Stars FC defeated Living Stone FC 2-0 in the second semi final to make the final cut.
