It comes down to what Korea Republic, Ghana, and Uruguay can do to join Portugal in the next round. Which of them will enter the KO stage?
Group H in the FIFA World Cup could still deliver some surprises, since at least one of the favorites to reach the next stage is still involved in a battle to qualify to the definitive round of the competition.

Portugal are already through to the next round, but they are yet to secure the top spot of the group. The other teams will have to go at it in need of a win, with Ghana and Uruguay set to lock horns against each other in a do-or-die match for both sides, although the Ghanaians have the better shot at success.

As for Korea Republic, the team will face two complications in the final match. Firstly, they will need to sort their fate out against Portugal, and the second fact to keep in mind is that they will have to do so against Portugal, who could close the game in such a way that may prevent the Taeguk Warriors from claiming a spot in the next round.

Now, let us get you in gear for what will be two interesting matches in this lot.

PORTUGAL

The team led by Cristiano Ronaldo is already through to the next round, but a win agaist Korea Republic could pave the way for Ghana and even Uruguay. A draw could be enough for Fernando Santos’ team to secure the top spot in this lot, while a loss could cost them dearly if Ghana can match that loss with a win to leapfrog them in the race to finish first.

GHANA

The African side seem to have the upper hand, as a draw would get them to the next round thanks to their better goal difference than Korea and Uruguay. Nevertheless, a loss could eliminate them from the competition even if Uruguay don’t go through and the other fixture concludes with a win for Korea.

KOREA REPUBLIC

The Taeguk Warriors are desperate to win their first match of the tournament, as a win here could see them through if Ghana lose and they are able to match or improve Uruguay’s potential victory numbers. A loss or a draw would eliminate Korea from the competition.

URUGUAY

The South Americans have been quite disappointing in the tournament, but there is still life for them if they can manage to get a win against the Asian side. It is yet to be seen if Diego Alonso will field a three-mn attack or if he will hand the starting nod to Edinson Cavani and Darwin Núñez, the duo that played from the start against Portugal and ended up giving La Celeste their second scoreless result in this World Cup. Since they are in fourth place of the group, a loss or a draw will kick them out of the tournament?
