It was football extravaganza at the First Baptist Church Science Grammar School Playground, Yantrailer, Jos, as the first edition of the Under-10 Coaches 8-Aside League took center stage yesterday.

In the first match played yesterday, Sunday Francis bagged a brace for his team, Jazzy Stars Football Academy, as they beat Tata Boys FA 3-1.

It was another brace recorded by Obadiah Ayuba for his team, Blessed KAA in the second match,this time via free-kicks.
Blessed KAA came from two goals down to beat The Galaxies 3-2.

Meanwhile, the chief organizer of this tournament, Sadiq Jimoh, enjoins the coaches to contribute their own little quota in eradicating the menace of age cheat by bringing on board players within the age bracket.
According to him, “This tournament is organized to keep these little children busy during this long vacation by engaging them in what they love doing which is profitable. I just want to still beg our great coaches to help change our football for good by abiding with lay down rules, especially as it concerns the issue of players eligible for this age category.”
