Liverpool will face a potentially make-or-break period in their season when they take on Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal in the space of eight days at the start of April.

The Premier League has released its fixture list for the month, and the Reds have been left with the daunting task of playing three of the other ‘Big Six’ clubs in just over a week.

Their trip to the Etihad Stadium kicks off a bumper month of action, with the game due to be broadcast on BT Sport at 12.30pm on April 1.

Three days later, Jurgen Klopp’s side will travel to Stamford Bridge, and they will round off their week by hosting Arsenal at Anfield on April 9, with both matches to be shown on Sky Sports.

Liverpool have won their last two league matches to get themselves back in the race for a top-four finish, and playing three high-profile games in such a short period could be pivotal in determining whether they are able to qualify for the Champions League or not.

The run-in will be well underway by the time April ticks around, and it promises to be a crucial month for league leaders Arsenal.

As well as their trip to Anfield, the Gunners will also play City in a potential title-decider on April 26 at the Etihad on BT Sport.

City won the reverse fixture earlier this month, and Arsenal will be looking for revenge to edge closer to their first league title since 2004.

Arsenal will have very little time to recover from the City match, as they then play Chelsea at the Emirates on April 29, with Sky Sports televising the game.

Other standout fixtures see Newcastle host Manchester United on April 2. The Red Devils have worked their way into title contention, but are unlikely to have it all their own way against Eddie Howe’s men who have only lost once at home all season.

The Magpies also take on top-four rivals Tottenham at St James’ Park on April 23.

Antonio Conte’s team have their own testing period at the end of April, as they play Man United four days later, and finish the month with a trip to Liverpool.
