Although both Daddare United and Stingers FC had no hope of making it to the knockout stage but still gave football lovers that came around something to cheer about as they banged in alot of goals to the delight of all and sundry.

In a six-goal thriller of a match, that ended 3-3, saw both Isiaka Adamu and Nuhu Sule of Daddare United FC and Stingers FC respectively netting a brace each.

Dauda Khalid and Akushonye Suraj also put their names on the scorers sheet, scoring in the 71st and 47th minutes for Daddare United and Stingers FC respectively.

Both sides finished Group A with one point each, to concede the Round of 16 quarter final tickets to both defending champions, Greater Tomorrow FC and New City FC who both have 6pts each from 2 matches played thus far.

Meanwhile, Group B leaders, Giant Killers will have it so tough this evening as they battle it out with a Young Stars team that needs nothing but a win in today’s encounter to be sure of picking the Round of 16 ticket; while a draw is enough to put Giant Killers into the knockout stage.

This match that promises to be explosive will be played today at the Daddare Secondary School Playground by 4pm.
