Mane edges closer to EPL return as Bayern ‘to let him and fellow top star leave’

BAYERN MUNICH are open to letting Sadio Mane leave the club this summer, reports claim.

Mane, 31, only joined the German side last year in a £35million deal from Liverpool.

But he is one of two stars the club are open to letting leave in the upcoming transfer window, according to Bild.

The other being ex-Arsenal man Serge Gnabry.

But news of Mane’s possible departure comes as a boost to Chelsea.

German outlet Bild say the Blues recently expressed an interest in bringing the former Liverpool forward back to the Premier League.

That’s despite spending a whopping £600m in the last two transfer windows.

According to Bild, Bayern are prepared to part ways with Mane following his reported off-field bust-up with Leroy Sane.

Mane previously spent six years at Liverpool, helping the Reds to Champions League and Premier League glory before joining Bayern last summer.

The Bundesliga giants would reportedly welcome a swap deal with Napoli involving Mane and striker sensation Victor Osimhen.

But Mane’s wages are claimed to be “probably too much” for the Serie A champions-elect.

And the Blues have been touted as an alternative option for the forward.

Mane scored 120 goals in 269 games for Liverpool, and has netted 12 times in 35 appearances for Bayern this season.
