My Ambition for NFF president was to resurrect Nigeria football
-Marcello Anyanwu

Contrary to insinuation that most Aspirant in Nigeria football federation elective congress in 2022 in Benin City Edo state were job seekers within the space of football in Nigeria.

Seven months after the NFF elective congress, Former presidential Aspirant of NFF Marcello Anyanwu has faulted the claim, speaking to our correspondence from his base in United Arab Emirate, the Ikeduru born football tactician maintained that what makes him to contest was his passion for football and his quest to resurrect the moribond football in Nigeria

The former Arsenal soccer school coach said his Ambition was purely on adding value to the development of football in Nigeria not because he is jobless

I have Job in United Arab Emirates before I came on board to contest, uptll now I still have my job.
I didn’t contest for NFF president because am seeking for job in Nigeria football domain, it’s Capital false.

The Ysfon Ambassador contested to resurrect the moribond and clumsy state of Nigeria football.

I am not desperate about managing the affairs of Nigeria football rather am only interested in lifting the standard of Nigeria football.

I was disappointed when I was disqualified because of they so called INVALID NOMINATION ‘Some desperate stake holders in my state FA does want me, I don’t know why?

I have contributed so much to football development in my state Imo state, I worked for Imo state FA during the 2011 sports festival in port Harcourt as the coach of the male football team ‘free of charge.’ I didn’t collect one kobo. We discovered the likes of Chidiebre Nwakali that won the under 17 FIFA world cup in UAE in 2013 and Emmanuel Iwu the current goal keeper of Abia Warriors of Nigeria Professional league NPFL
I have provided and given alot of Imo state indigenes platform to excel in football both home and abroad,
I have donated football kits to schools and communities in Imo state

The head scout of Gulf united football club Dubai frowned at the electoral body for not giving a genuine reason for his disqualification either by written, text message or phone call.
They acted unprofessional , didn’t inform me officially why I was disqualified. They Just went to the press and said Marcello has been disqualified because INVALID NOMINATION..

The Nigeria football supporters club Ambassador said, during the NFF presidential screening exercise in Abuja, he was informed that his tax clearance, Educational certificates and all the required documents he tendered were verified to be accurate and legitimate.

The election has come and gone a winner emerged, I congratulated Mr Ibrahim Guzou and sent my Fourteen points football blue print to him that will guide him to build a formidable structure for football development in Nigeria

I thank my family members, friends and fans for their solidarity.
I will continue to use my position to create pathways for Nigeria players and assist in revamping Nigeria clumsy football. says the Nigeria national league Ambassador
