Nigeria Teqball Congratulates President Gumel Over ‘Order Rising Sun’ Award From Japan

Teqball Family in Nigeria through the General Secretary of the Nigeria Teqball Federation, Ndudi Emmanuel Edede is celebrating and congratulating the President of the federation as well as the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) Engineer Habu Ahmed Gumel over his award from the Emperor of Japan.

Engr. Gumel was conferred with the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon by the Emperor of Japan through the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr Hayashi Yoshimasa.

In a letter signed by the General Secretary of the federation Mr. Edede Ndudi Emmanuel stated that the award to our president who also is the president of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), the Treasurer of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) and an honourable member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is a confirmation of his commitment to the development of Teqball and sports in general both at home and abroad.

“Engr. Habu Gumel’s commitment towards the development of Teqball in Nigeria and sports in general has no doubt impacted sports globally. His motivation is indeed evidence in the development of Teqball in Nigeria within a short period” Edede added

Engr. Gumel is also on the Executive Council of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
