OFFICIAL: Tottenham confirm that Lucas Moura will leave at the end of June

Tottenham have confirmed that Lucas Moura will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of June.

Moura has been at Tottenham since January 2018 but he is now set to depart.

Tottenham have confirmed that Lucas Moura will leave the club at the end of the 2022/23 Premier League season following the conclusion of his contract. Signed from PSG in January 2018, the Brazilian, to date, has scored 38 goals in 219 appearances for the Lilywhites.

In a video on the club’s Twitter account, the attacker sent an emotional message to supporters after his exit was confirmed.

“My Spurs, wherever I am, my heart will always be here. You are my club,” said Lucas. “It has been the greatest honour to defend this badge. Every flick, every tackle, every leap, every goal.

“From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, from the beginning to the end, you sung my name. This has been my honour, this has been my dream. This will always be my home.

“Some nights we will never forget, written in history together. I will always love you no matter where I go. We will meet again. Come on you Spurs!”

Lucas’ last game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will come on Saturday afternoon when Spurs host Brentford in the Premier League. Tottenham then finish the campaign with an away game against Leeds United at Elland Road.

The club have also confirmed on their official website that a further update on their wider released and retained player list will be issued at the conclusion of the 2022/23 campaign.
