Plateau State FA Cup: Mafeng FC And Sauki FC Qualify As Deluxe FC Pushes To Set Up An NLO Division One Round of 16 Tie


NLO Division One side, Mafeng Football Club moved to the next stage after ousting debutants, FC Zamda 2-1 in the first Plateau State FA Cup match played yesterday.

Izuchi David and Chilla Sanda got the goals for Mafeng FC in the 31st and 54th minutes, while Inyeke Emmanuel got the consolatory goal for the new boys in the 16th minute to end the encounter 2-1 in favour of the more experienced Mafeng FC.

In the second knockout match played yesterday at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, it took the lotteries of penalties to separate both Sauki fc and Global Peace FC.

After a goaless 90 minutes draw, Sauki FC moved to the next round after overcoming Global Peace FC 8-7 on penalties.

Matches slated for today in the ongoing Plateau State FA Cup:

By 2pm, NLO Division One side, Deluxe FC will battle it out with new entrant, 234 Avenue FC, while by 4pm, Ben Akwuegbu FC will slug it out with Maichibi FC.

All matches will be played at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium.
