The 18-year-old becomes the third woman ranked outside the top 100 to ever make the final four in New York.
This was her path in getting to the finals doing it without dropping a single set.

SF d. Sakkari 6-1, 6-4

It’s been a tough ride for the 18year old as she reaches an all teenage finals against 19 year old Leylah Fenandez.

The last time we had an all teenage finals was in 1999 with Serena Williams(17years old) coming up against Mary Hinges (18years old) with the 17 year old Serena coming tops.

19-y.o. Leylah Fernandez keeps her incredible streak of giant-killing going, beating #2 Sabalenka 7-6, 4-6, 6-4 to reach US Open final.

Fernandez had to do it the hard way, beating: two-time champ and Number 3 Osaka,
2016 champ Kerber,
World Numver 5 Svitolina,
World Number 2 Sabalenka,
and two past quarterfinalists.

With the finals in view, what’s your prediction?
