Victor has had His share of ups and downs, lows and highs at a very young age, this clearly says alot about his winning mentality now

Osimhen career started at the Ultimate Strikers Academy in Lagos, featuring for the Super Eagles in the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, and turning many heads around at that time for his performances.
He eventually signed a pre-contract with the Bundesliga club, VFL Wolfsburg. His time at the German club was riddled with injuries and he eventually had to look for loan options, even giving trials with Club Brugge and Zulte Waregem in Belgium.

However, A serious Malaria illness left his body so weak that neither of the clubs agreed to take him on loan. He finally joined Belgian club Charleroi in 2018, where he was bought after his successful performances while on loan…Some other players don’t come back from this situations you know?

In 2019, Osimhen signed for future Ligue 1 champions, Lille OSC. Showing his potential at the French club, Napoli bought him for a total fee of 80 million Euros, making him the most expensive African player till date…

Great Positioning
Pace
Aeriel Prowess
Dribbling
Tier A- Movement & Runs
Press Machine
Perfect Hold up & Build up play
Top Notch Personality & Mentality

Weekness
Passing
Offensive Awareness

Summary: He’s very deadly in the box, he’s always likely to get behind every rebounds, Loose ball, first ball as the header, Second ball while charging the receiver… A very good finisher who can finish very well with both foot equally, who can finish from quite difficult and impossible angles, who can finish half chances too. Not to ignore the fact that he’s a problem Aeriely while his strength and stamina makes it difficult to stop him even while he turns.

Osimhen is super fast for his height, So fast he can switch pace like every typical wingers – A similarly to Nunez can of fast, that’s a crazy assets as Tall attackers like Haaland are not that close.

Also a great dribbling, Yeah not aesthetic but he’d move past you if needed, Very decent for a Striker.

He’s a press machine and he doesn’t get tired doing that, He has also scored a few goals while forcing mistakes from the oppositions this season, he presses so well and understands how to keep the shape and communicate with his wingers and teammates while doing it, other strikers just press without keeping shapes and then leave the team exposed while some don’t press at all.

Hold and build up play is also one of his major strengths, this has also helped Khvicha Kvaratskhelia excel so well since joining the Napples, Obviously not a winger that goes about spamming in crosses because of Osimhen strength hence they’ve enjoyed playing together and linking up well together.  Napoli plays one of the best football currently in Europe ans Osimhen has helped in making that possible

His personality can’t be ignored because it’s a vital element in the progress of his career, Jovial, friendly and so welcoming. Loves enjoying and making himself and his fans happy, you can tell from his Twitter activities and some interviews. On field, he helps opponents get back up from a foul, always applauds and encouranges efforts from his teammates irrespective of the degisions they take, Talks calmly to the ref, Smiles always. Football gasses your emotions, This is not easy to do, it is rare! So is Osimhen!

Weakness; One of the areas he needs to improve is his passes, atimes he hits it too much especially when he goes long but this he can improve on as he’s still just 24 years while Offensive Awareness can be a question when the game is away from his team, he sometimes responds slowly to passes, shouts, and attacking breaks.

Conclusion I

Victor Osimhen is an athletic, modern and strong striker (9) who has a strong eye for goal, is direct and is pretty good with his hold-up and linkup play.

He frequently looks to attack and create spaces, can receive the ball well with his back to the goal, has a good first touch and often times his runs perfectly.

At 185cm of height, while he may seem lanky and unathletic, Osimhen is actually a really good presser, useful in pinning back defenders and intercepting passes in the opponent’s third.

His pace is one of the deadliest parts of his game, especially in transitions as it allows him to get ahead of his opponents. In short, a modern number 9.

Conclusions II

A strong, clinical presence in the box, he is quite good with his holdup and linkup play and is adept at making runs.

Definitely not a false 9, it would be better to see him working on his passing skills a bit more, something that would make him the perfect all-rounded striker and also make him suitable for a more possession-based side.

Already a cult icon in Napoli, he is also considered by many to be very similar to another Napoli legend, Edinson Cavani due to his direct movements in front of goal. If he can avoid injuries, And doesn’t rush his move away from Napoli, He’ll end up taking the Absoluteness from Legendary African strikers like Drogba and Eto o’

A step higher at perfect age and stage of his career to top clubs that would Give him the PR and recognition to stand chances in Uefa and Fifa awards coupled with his performance is just what is needed, but he doesn’t need to rush that
